I had a fairly long term relationship with my YF and, up to the day he left, it went very well. I knew him from age 8 till age 19. I can't help but think that if he were still in my life, he would still love me and I would still love him as much as we did so many years ago. I am going to look for that book you mentioned, Cat, it sounds like a really good read. Although I will have to put it on the long list of books I need to read right now.
