It was certainly a bizarre movie. I took my yf and he didn't like it. For me, it's kinda hard to say since there is nothing else to compare it to. I think the young actor did a great performance, I loved the cinematography, and I enjoyed certain of the creative aspects of the movie, like how they all sleep in a pile. I think the part where one of them gets his arm ripped off was rather excessive and seemed a bit out of place. I'm not sure what to think, I guess it was ok, it's just a movie without a real audience. It's too scary for the little ones the book was aimed at, too boring for the older kids, and too childish for teens and adults.
