Having had YFs at all ages through teenage years, and watching a 20 yo with his AF last night, in his parents company! - lot of appropriate physical contact going on... it seems clear to me that you are overly pessimistic about the inevitability of being rejected when he is a teenager because 'all teenagers don't like adults'.
