I see myself as a type "a" in this model.... but without being preditorial I can ALSO see myself capable of being selfish at times and neglecting the wellbeing of a child to satisfy an impulsive urge... especially if I was alone with said child and the child was initiating.

For this reason I know I have to keep away from being alone with "those kind of boys" and I do.

My point is that I suspect (without any real evidence but just becuase it seems commonsense) that at least some people convicted as sex offenders would generally consider themselves more type "a" except for THAT time they got into THAT situation and BLAM... now they are a registered S.O.

The reality is, I suspect, that "type a" pedos in your model still DESIRE to have sex with kids... they just choose not to. As long as that desire is there I don't think society will make any distinction between those who cross the line and those who desire to.

Only in a world where people accept the desire will we ever be accepted, I would think.
