So not too long ago some college professor gave a lecture on why you should not talk to the police. Ever. Innocent or guilty. He even has a police officer come up and talk about the tactics he uses to get people to incriminate themselves, including lying.

The video is 47minutes long but it is very worth it. It is important for anyone in the US to watch whether they are a BL or not. If you don't have alot of time I recommend bookmarking the link and watching it later.

If you live in the US and the cops want to talk to you simply say no. If you cannot afford a lawyer you will get a free one. "But I haven't broken any laws!" The law professor points out just how many thousands of laws there are that the people in that part of the government are not even sure how many. The cops are NOT your friends no matter how friendly they are. Even the cop who speaks at the end of the lecture agrees with the professor.
