I was just thinking, maybe part of the confusion stems from the terms “boylover” and “loved boy”. Generally speaking, “boylover” doesn’t necessarily imply that anything sexual is going on, but “loved boy” does imply (generally speaking, of course) something sexual. I can see how a lot of people can get confused by that.
