Each time I've said "this time it's different" it has marked a significant step forward.

Last time I said it was because she was accepting how things were and agreeing to put up with them (even though she didn't like it).

This time she's gone past "putting up with" to genuine satisfaction with me as her husband.

Last time she was tollerating my yfs... but thinking it was still wrong for me to have them.

This time she's agreeing that I AM being a positive influence in their lives and my intentions are sincere.

It will take time to trust that she means it... but overall I see this as another of a series of (albeit very slow) steps forward.
