they werent all sad at all: reflective yes, but isnt that what poetry is bound to do? reflect I mean.
. . . .and there is always that assumption that poems about the past will be nostalgic . . . that's the fatal human flaw in all of us though, which is partly why we are here at this board anyway I think. . . . not going to try to explain that.
come to think of it I think poetry is often simply prose without the need to explain anything, but your poetry is essentially rhythm as well
