or at least my definition before this would have been radically otherwise. For me soft core porn is anything that the 'artist' (including a photographer) designs to titillate without specifically presenting genital activity; thus 'artistically presented' semi clothed figured are to me usually soft core porn. By contrast something that specifically presents genital activity occurring is over the line into hardcore - though I admit there is a spectrum. Certainly however I want to defend a definition of pornography that means something designed to generate lust; this is of course very counter-cultural these days when lust (defined as actively yearning for what you know to be wrong) is not seen to be wrong. Which I guess is why the proposed definition of 'softcore' porn is so far up the spectrum in my mind.

On the other hand the popular definition of kiddie porn now seems to include any unclothed underage person - at least horror stories of parents arrested for photos of kids in the bath seems to suggest this. And note that the definition would include ANY picture from a naturist meeting... (casual social nudity!). Interestingly the admin who deleted the reference to the naturist 18yo who died appears to endorse my view, unless he's arguing for a third type of even softer porn?
