I am so sorry to hear that your young friend is having to deal with such a grave issue in his life, and of course I am sorry that you are having to deal with it as well. But to answer your question, yes I think that this would be the best time to talk to him about Jesus. I'm sure you would know the best way to go about it because you are so close to him. I chose a quiet time in the park when I began talking to my "L" about the Lord. It was a little bit nerve wracking at first but it only took a few minutes and we were talking away about God and spiritual stuff. It wasn't too long after that that he asked Jesus to come into his life. It was the best thing I ever did with him, in my opinion. Yes I think we do have a purpose in our friendships with boys, a very good one. Yes we should be fishers of boys.
