It's impossible to tell right now whether it is something that can be resolved or not. But a lot of the things it might be don't have a good prognosis; a lot of scary words have come out of the doctor's mouth.

That's the worst part is not knowing. Once you know, you can move on to either relief or acceptance. But when you don't know, there's no clear direction to go, you just kind of pause and wait for some answers while holding your breath.
