I have had many YF's ask for a back-rub and I always gave them one. So long as your hands or mind is kept in the right place it is a good experience. And Of course if the parents do not think that is right then you should honer their wishes. It also gives you the opportunity to teach them what good and bad touch is and how some bad people can use it for evil intent. So I guess it can be appropriate or not it depends on the child his parents his life experience and of course where your mind is at while giving him a back rub.
