sexuality has a great deal to do with 'identity' I think. Identity being something integral to the way that we perceive our own selves. Celibacy though, once understood (and perhaps only understood by grasping it even when it seems that it will be the prickliest briar) is the greatest gift of all, which isnt to say that it 'fulfills' us in the way so often prescribed by modern psychological thinking which so often perceives only the 'self' or 'individual' which I regard to be over and against 'community-think' (the message of the gospel).
