And yes, we only avoid the term "pedophile" - which has clearly morphed into a straight-out exonym - because of the extremely negative connotation that is attached to it. Only when there is awareness raised about the actual sexuality will "pedophile" begin to lose its attached connotation.

I sincerely believe this will never happen, sadly.
