I certainly don't have all the answers, and my post was aiming to explain how non-Christians such as myself deal with CL, by generalising the beliefs I have that relate to it.

I haven't thought a lot about "God's design" vs. "just luck" when it comes to my being born healthy and into a safe environment. Whether this is because I can't figure out the answer, or don't need the answer, I don't know, but so far in my life it's never been what I perceive as relevant.

Nevertheless, it was a mistake for me to generalize my beliefs so much that they go beyond CL. Let's try and keep conversation to how religion affects CL, shall we? : )
