I'm sorry to harp on this but it seems rather important. What aspect of Jesus work as a healer or a preacher was not also an aspect of his prayer? Although it is certainly possible to define what prayer is in a specific way isnt one of our aims as Christians to break through narrow definitions and touch God through our daily lives? Is the only way to pray to stop what I am doing and concentrate solely on God? I know that it is important to do that, of course, but the aim of doing that has to be to enable us to then find God in the people around us and in our daily work, don't you think?
