I think I knew I was gay from a very early age. I remember being strongly attracted to a boy in my class (from a distance) when I was just 7. Thinking back I found it harder and harder to relate to boys in my class - hating sport as I did at that time. I had several crushes throughout my grammar school years - initially with contemporaries - but as time wore on my crushes became nearly always with boys in the younger forms. When I was at college aged 18 I fell in love quite seriously with a 7 year old and that was when I came out to a priest friend of mine.
