Accepting Deception Instead Of Saying No?

2 Timothy 4
3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Titus 2
11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.


WE live in such a day and many Christians will listen to false teachers who would rather have us hear the things that justify what we are doing wrong instead of living the life that we are commanded to live. It is so easy to get caught up into this trap as our old nature wants it own desires fulfilled. Satin does not need to attack the bars, the strip clubs, the adult video stores, EST. He attacks the Church, Gods people wherever they fellowship. We need to be aware of this and be prepared for battle because our enemy Satin is on the war path and sends his people out for battle and it is usually through deception and lies. These people plant or try to plant themselves amongst the fellowship of believers and gain position in the assembly.

We as Christians are called to live an upright life and say NO to any ungodliness. We are to be the examples to others through the life that we live and how we express our faith to others in what we say and believe. We are to know the word of god, have it hidden in our hearts so we can not be fooled or deceived when our ears are tickled by things that sound good to our flesh. This life we live here on this earth is for a great purpose and the impact of some of our decisions can affect many and some of them will also last for eternity.

In the times that we live I thought this an important subject to bring up. I have talked with many other believers that do not really understand the war that we are in while we live here which is not a Christians real home. There is nothing more than Satin would love but to have your witness for Christ ineffective in this world. So we need to stay on our guard and also watch out for one another as well.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for Your Son Jesus Christ who is our Redeemer and help us to be eager to do what is good. Help us not to be deceived by us allowing ourselves to listen to those words that appeal to our flesh. Instead help us to be an affective witness for you, your ways and live a life that is pleasing to you and that others might see Your Son and the way of Salvation. Let the Holey Spirit do his work in us individually and when we come together as believers to worship You and fellowship with one another. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY AMEN.
