doesnt this make it all a toss-up between war or love? "Agree and we love. Disagree and we war." What can be the future of the human race in an internet world in such an environment?
If a person is a good speaker and can argue his case well, people will take what he says on board. If he cannot they won't. It cannot be that even a tiny percentage of us will 'have' the truth when everyone's 'truth' is so very different but perhaps our way to God is far less about specific 'belief' and much more about 'sincere intention and good action'. Otherwise what hope is there for any of us?
Fortunately for all of us it cannot be a question of whether we think another person is 'ok' or not because that is all in the hands of God. 'Judge not that ye be not judged' surely has to be our starting point rather than thinking 'he's ok regardless.' The outcome however - from our point of view if not God's - will be the same: a peaceful, generous forum.
