I think that adultery is a result of the possessiveness of the human ego. There are couples out there who love each other with all their hearts, but they recognise that sex and love are different things so they do practice spouse-swapping, and sex with other partners. I can also imagine allowing my partner to do this as well. But the reason the Jews could not possibly do this is because of the lack of birth control, as well as the lack of understanding of the fallen psyche.

I think it is psychotic that a partner would get the notion that someone 'loves them less' because they have had sex with another person. It is obviously WRONG to sleep with someone else if you have commited not to, but if you have not commited not to and both partners agree that they will allow it, then no such trust has been breached.

As for sex before marriage damaging a future relationship...

The problem with sex before marriage is the insolent little scumbag pieces of shit that think that women are objects, and not people. Men will lie through their teeth just to get their end away.
