Genesis 2:18


18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."


As you read through the account of creation in Genesis the Lord says that everything he made was good except for the man being alone. I can’t tell you how many BL boards I have been on where being or feeling alone was one of the top subjects. I know all to well as a BL this feeling, it is a deep feeling that is hard to shake, a feeling one never forgets. Well the Lord says this is not good, and I do not believe it is a feeling that he wants any of us to have. I do think that we should fill our lives with Church family and friends because this is good for us. But it does not always keep the type of loneliness that I am talking about away. This is a place that only the love of Jesus can fill and heal and it usually takes time and tries to come back. But with much prayer and support from our Christian brothers and by having other healthy relationships it can be defeated. With the holidays coming up which is the worst time for most, we should keep in thought and prayer our brother BL’s that are suffering from this. And for the ones here that have overcome this to also reach out and help new posters that are suffering from loneliness this holiday season.


Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the love you have given us through your Son Jesus. For the family in Christ, friends and family that we have that helps us from feeling this loneliness. And we pray for those that do not have, that they would find your Son Jesus and that you would touch their hearts. That you would also give them the relationships they need so that they do not have to suffer from this thing you said was not good for man.
