I was thinking, with Michael Jackson constantly in the news and the recent rumors of Macaulay Culkin possibly being the biological father to one or more of Michael's kids... not that I necessarily believe all that... but it's got me thinking...

What do you think of the relationship that Michael had with Macaulay and vice versa?

Were they really that close? ...not sexually close (that's another discussion), but close enough to actually WANT to raise the other's children as his own? Or to at least have this sort of discussion?

I had one true YF in my life who has been in my life since he was 7-years old. I was in my early 20s when it all started. My YF stayed with me many times in the early years, and my YF was very similar to Macaulay (from what I've seen in the candid videos) -- the playful blond-haired blue-eyed kid that had a great sense of humor, was very witty, laughed a lot, and was always looking for fun. I can totally relate to how Michael must've felt about Macaulay. The energy that Michael got from Mac. The way that Mac made him feel.

And then... to keep that friendship going strong throughout the years. My own YF is now in his 20s, and we're still very close. Mac even testified for Michael. It appears that they also stayed close, and maybe their friendship grew even stronger as adults.

I have to wonder about the relationship they shared. It seems like a very special one. And I have to wonder how much it parallels my own relationship with my YF. And how similar it is to others of our kind.

What do you think of the relationship they shared? In the early days, and then later in life... Thoughts? And what does it say about "us" -- if anything? Thanks.
