In Ephesians 5:35-33 Paul talks about the relationship between a husband and a wife and he mentions their being one flesh... He's talking about the union that is achieved through sex and he likens it to Christ's love for his own body - the church. Paul calls it a great mystery.

I've always taken this to mean that sexual love is a living testament to the Love of Jesus for the church.... and what a powerful testimony is that!

There are many who feel the song of songs in the OT is a love song from Christ to His church.

In this respect God's love for us IS sexual.

I'm not saying God wants to have sex with us... but sexual feelings and the love that our sexuality makes us crave... these are not only gifts from God... but messages and testimonies of HIS LOVE FOR US.

I don't find it offensive to see myself as God's YF and to think that He loves me in a sexual (albeit pure) way.
