I'm sorry to hear your father is in such poor health and I wish nothing but the best to you and your family.
I see here you mentioned military - was he by chance in the Navy? I know some Navy soldiers have their ashes spread upon the sea. In which favoring the cremation side. However I'm never had a family member cremated; or as far as I know. Usually I'm all for normal burial and whatnot. But it is a tough choice, you wouldn't think so at a glance but when it comes down to it is a very tough choice. I guess if it where me, I would think deep into my father's past; in which in my case, my father buried my grandfather and that is the way he wanted it, so I would naturally do the same unless his well said otherwise. But I would study your dad's past and if nothing at all hinted that he wanted to be cremated, I would just bury him. I hope all goes well with your family and my heart truly goes with you Nash. -Youth?? |
