I can buy into 'unholy' in this context as long as it means 'un-wholistic' i.e. 'not doing good in the real world situation.' But if it means 'intrinsically morally tainted' to the point where it's banned as a fantasy, then I think that's going too far. St. Paul expressed the situation very well when he said "all things are lawful to me, but some are not contributory (Greek symphero, 'carrying together,' i.e.,' well integrated with reality); all things are lawful but some are not constructive (Greek oikodomeo, 'home-building,' i.e., making a liveable life for us all) (1 Corinthians 10:23; also see 6:12)." This may be too non-mystical for some people but I think God's love is very practical. |
