Society responded to its own free spirited 1960's experience by becoming more parental, and is now bringing all the instincts of bad parenthood to bear in its approach to pedophilia. It wants to: (1) prevent thoughts it sees as bad through stifling communication [even though these thoughts are spontaneous and don't require communication to flourish], (2) suppress freedom for the sake of social engineering and illusionary innocence [when people start getting romantic about innocence, fascism is always around the corner], (3) discipline abusively out of desperation at failure to get conformity in matters involving personal relationships [ridiculous sentencing for sexcrimes, similar to traditional death penalties for adultery in some parts of the world - and if we had those here today, half or more of our self-righteous population would be dead], (4) medicalize normal natural human variation [after 100 years of abject academic embarrassment with trying to medicalize homosexuality, an effort that was a quasi-fascist exercise to begin with, the highly paid idiots just charge ahead and retain any inconvenient sexualities in their DSM code and go on to further publish their meaningless biased studies and torture-like remedies], and (5) avoid and hide the truth whenever possible [just think, with pederasty, a sexual form that was held in high regard by the founding society of European civilization, and yet now is propagandized as causing incalculable harm to young minds that can't possibly withstand something as earth-shattering as voluntarily willed sexual contact - it must NEVER be SUGGESTED that this could be wanted by, and in those cases often good for, a younger person. The world will fall apart and innocents will be slaughtered spiritually in their beds (literally) if this is even allowed to be whispered.] When you think about our history with witch burnings, slavery, racism, persecutions of gays, theft from native peoples and so on, you momentarily realize that society is usually truly disgusting. Then you forget that negative thought and go back to improving it as best you can, with God's help. But that's a nasty moment. |
