I agree with you a change is long overdue and I despise feeling outcast by society however our situation is very complicated because there is 2 types of pedophiles...

a) the type are like us who have morals, feel empathy and care for the well being of children and put their needs before ours.

b) the predetor type who are selfish and attempt to satisfy their urges without consideration for the wellbeing of the child.

It is because of type "b" that society chooses to be intolerant of all pedophiles, they will not risk being lenient on type "a" at the risk of allowing type "b" to cause any harm to kids, so for the sake of maintaining zero tolerance on child molestation they put us all in the same basket and burn all of us because as it suits their purpose to show no mercy to the likes of anyone who is attracted to kids.

The welfare of Children is of uttermost importance to society, their protection is considered above everything else and children are the most empathized creatures on the planet which is why it makes us guys the most detested, so as long as harmful pedophiles exist we will never have the rights we deserve because society simply will not risk differentiating type (a) from type (b) as the line is uncertain and there is no guarantees of who is what type those who would be willing to cross the line.
