As someone who knows marc reasonably well I think you are taking him the wrong way totally.

I don't think he's being belittling or flippant. You have interpreted posts of his as hostile that I don't see as hostile at all.

Remember we are working in text here and tone is missing. I think you are adding in a tone that isn't there. Just becuase marc's words are brief and to the point doesn't mean they are meant meanly.

He takes the time to reply to your posts and give you some very reasonable points. I encourage you to look beyond the tones you are perceiving and look at the content.

Finally, if you think someone is being hostile it doesn't hurt to ASK for some clarity BEFORE you respond in kind. Saying something like, "that post sounded hostile to me, did you mean it to be?" can avoid embarrasing missunderstandings.
