I've always enjoyed vampire fiction and love how vampires can symbolize all of our dreams as well as our fears. But Twilight does almost nothing right when it comes to vampire fiction and I would not put myself through any of the movies. If there were a Vampire I could relate to, it wouldn't be Edward, it would be either Louis from "Interview With a Vampire", or Marius the BL vampire from "The Vampire Armand".
