I can see why it seems silly.

And I had no objection to the tributes.

On the other hand .... I can see two other things which are true of this site.

Thing One: there are guys here struggling to keep off pic lookering... and naming names is a morsel that can be a lure to go off on a binge.
Whilst lots of stuff said on this site could be equally aluring... nameing names is directly so.

Thing Two: the antis are just looking for any tiny reason to shut us down or bring bad press in our direction. Mentioning details of a boy who does have naked pics floating prolifically in the BL community just gives them ammunition.

Calling it "soft porn" is a matter of debate.
I think many guys find looking at nudist stuff sexually gratiffying AND with someone like this (who's life is out there in public view)... develope genuine affection and concern for the boy. Of course not everyone will experience either or both... but for some it's true.

I can't speak for the mods, but based on the above, I don't think anything that was said by the mods should be taken personally.
