One day my YF and I were talking and he told me one of his dark secrets. His uncle had molested him when he was quite a few years younger, before I knew him. He could see that I was getting really hot under the collar so he quickly told me that he was ok and then asked me to please not say or do anything. We talked about it for a while and I decided to honor his wishes, which under the circumstances was the best thing to do. He assured me that his uncle had only done it the one time and that he probably would never try anything like it again with anyone. I believed him so I conceded, but if I had thought for a moment that he was just trying to cover up for the guy, I would have done something or told someone. I was really pissed about it for a long time, though. However, the way that my YF talked about it, it sounded like it was more like just a little bit of fooling around and a one time thing; it didn't sound like it was a big rape case or anything.
