I should talk to him at all, hehe. He's never really made an effort to contact me after we parted (it seems that's his practice. there's a mutual friend I talk to regularly, and he's also part of the 'that fool acts like he never knew us!' club). We got together a couple of times over the years, I called him less and less as time went on, and now I haven't talked to him in like a year. I suspect he has issues with feelings because this friend was also VERY close to him, and everything between us was SOOO unspoken it was scary.

I'd be wary to touch a nerve and ruin an already tentative conversation. I wish I could summon the courage to talk to him openly about stuff. Reality, eh?
