Thank you for your words of encouragement. I couldn't help but think of Colossians 4:2 when you spoke of our need for a God-focus: "Continue steadfasly in prayer, being watchfulin it with thanksgiving." (ESV)
I see that call to earnest prayer as the consumation of Paul's teachings on our new life in Christ that he begun in Colossians 3:1. To me, that steadfast prayer, steeped in thanksgiving, is the power behind our walk in the Spirit, 3:12-17.
