Christian BoyLove Forum #62667
well I suppose the first sentence is vaguely encouraging.
Most of the rest, as usual, is misunderstanding. I didnt mean that I believe that 'sexuality is selfish', I mean that sexual motives are perceived as such by 'society' within the context that I am using: ie the boylover. I am trying mostly to show that the word 'sexual' is over-used and trivialised simply because relationships are not expressed in varied enough ways - especially once any potential 'boylover' link is suspected or established. I would agree that, in adult relationships, sexuality integrates perfectly well into loving relationships, but from the BL point of view - whether personal or general - this clearly doesnt apply. re parental relationships being altruistic, whilst there may be a certain tendency creeping in recently to view parents as selfish in wanting children, I do not agree that this is the general view. Certainly, parents are accepted as a natural part of our society - rather more than scoutmasters, or men who like to chat to children on street corners. I didnt come to any conclusion about the forum's world view: its just a worry I have with some posts, and probably inevitable given the name of the forum. In a world which over-emphasises sexuality, a forum called CBLF is not always going to avoid falling into the trap of doing the same. |
