This is just one more brick in the structure that has been in the process of being built for quite some time. That structure being the movement towards giving the governing authorities absolute power over every aspect of a citizen's life without due process. The boylover community is particularly vulnerable since we are easy targets of hate and ridicule. I'm not saying lawbreaking boylovers shouldn't be punished, but many people want all of us locked away or worse, simply for being what we are, regardless of our actions or lack thereof.

But we aren't the only ones feeling the effects of this dictatorship mentality. Unless you happen to be part of the ruling authorities, you're subject to most any whim from those who are. They can and have done everything from taking land with little justification to keeping people locked up forever. Heck, they are even trying to govern our salt intake now. It's not about doing what is best, it's about power, and it feels good to them to wield that power.

I see very little that can be done about it. It seems that whoever is voted in or gains power some other way eventually gets caught up in the seduction of power. I don't see it getting any better till Jesus comes. Our only options are to become one of the governing body or to do the best we can to live our lives in a Godly manner under the constraints that are placed on us. Specifically in our case, as boylovers, we especially need to lead lives beyond reproach. Even the hint that a person has these attractions in the mind of the wrong person will ruin our lives as we know it. I know there are some boylovers who are hopeful of us one day being judged by our actions instead of our attractions, but I just don't see that ever happening on a very large scale.
