I just wanted to share something:

My YF (of about a year now) is 15. I have always made it very clear to him that I care for him deeply, but I had not outright said "I love you" (for fear of weirding him out). And I had always had the sense that he enjoyed spending time with me, but he had not clearly expressed affection towards me, so I always was a little unsure if he cared for me, too, or if he just enjoyed my company. [The latter is good, of course, but I really wanted to know that it went deeper than that.]

Well, a few weeks ago he replied to one of my emails and ended it off with, "Love you, man!" I was, obviously, so happy to hear that, and replied promptly with, "Love you, too, X!"

Then, last time we met in person, as I was getting ready to take him home, we exchanged a hug, and I said (during the hug), "I love you, X". And he replied with, "I love you, too".

I can't begin to say how fortunate I feel to have him in my life, and to know that he cares for me, to some degree at least, the way I care for him.

Just wanted to share that.
