It does indeed make a lot more sense of what you told us. I hope you understand why I reacted like I did, and I still think you need to be conscious of the possible dangers of your friendship going the wrong way in the medium term. But it's also seems likely that it will grow into a really good positive relationship for both of you.

I'm really impressed by your willingness to share this painful detail, and in general your openness to us on this board. I'm sure that it does give others space to talk about what really going in their lives, and it's only as we do that that we can really support one another.
