Perhaps the word I was looking for is 'dangerous'. For the young smoker the story of the 97 year old Aunt is an excuse for ignoring the health warnings. In the same way stories of sexualised AF/YF relationships that suggest a highly positive outcome can encourage me to follow my lust rather than what I believe God says about the issue.
