I was expressing both my understanding and experience that older people are right more-often-than-not (I've made many mistakes that my parents warned against), as well as my sincere hope that, in this particular case, they were wrong.

I'm not offended by either of your replies. I do recognise that the laws of most occidental countries were made with a Christian influence, which makes it a lot easier for Christians to live legal lives. I suppose, in most ways, I live like a Christian, which is why my body and unconscious brain has changed to make it easier for me to live legally and think legal thoughts.

But, I realise it would definitely be wiser to try and glean some wisdom off of the experience of Godly people, rather than the other pedestrian rabble.

I don't want to long to do illegal things to my friends. That's the end of it. And my subconscious brain seems to have taken that into account. I was playing with a couple of cute boys on the basketball courts, and I don't remember having any sexual thoughts whatsoever. I recall looking at one of their butts, and expecting to think sexual thoughts, but I really didn't. Great success. :D
