I own a Wii, a 360 and a PS2. The 360 easily gets the most play out of those three consoles, although I do play the Wii a lot as well.
I am at least a decade older than the both of you, and I can't claim to be able to game with the best of them (although I do kick a lot of ass in Gears of War 2 and was able to beat both of those games on Insane playing solo, so I guess I'm really not that bad). My favorite games tend to be the JRPGs, though. I don't have a YF to play video games with, and I am perfectly OK with that. Most of the games that I own that feature multiplayer are the kind of games that I would feel uncomfortable playing with a young boy, anyway. I like respecting the boundaries of boys - and of their parents, and if the parents are responsible, they don't want their prepubescent kids ripping Locust apart with chainsaws while blood splatters everywhere. Of course, I could always pull out my Madden 10 if the situation does arise. That reminds me, 11 is coming out very soon. To the people who own a 360 and have XBox Live, I do highly recommend Limbo, though. That's not just a game - it's an experience that packs a heavy emotional punch. Not to mention, it's light-years scarier than any survival horror game. I think I will show my age when I say this - I remember when the original Mario Brothers (no, NOT Super Mario Brothers, just Mario Brothers) was a top-of-the-line video game. |
