You recommend going to church, and I definitely agree - but the next step always trips me up. What kind? Considering I'm in the Bible Belt, there's so many different sizes, denominations, etc that just confuses me, and I don't get the nuances behind each.

I supposed I'd be looking for a more liberal church (basically where they'd generally not get too hung up on homosexuality being a sin, and more living in the modern world).

I tried a Church of Christ but it doesn't seem like my cup of tea. The people are friendly in all but I don't fit in. I'm also not Catholic material (I was raised as such).

I supposed a medium sized would be best for me, one with hopefully a good youth group I could volunteer with, a church where the faces wouldn't change from week to week.
