The thing is, I've never experienced the love of God. I was a Christian in my teens because I was scared into it with stories of the damned being tormented forever in Hell. Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it - my sexuality drove a wedge between me and the church. Note that I said church, not God. I'm still looking for God. I'm not so sure He can be found...
