I think you give them too much credit. PJ isn't egged on by the criminal justice industry at all. In fact, law enforcement has spoken ill of them and their vigilante activities. Their typical Modus Operandi is to attempt to shame "pedophiles" by publishing their information. Their involvement with law enforcement is limited to their participation on a tv show and talks at various conventions about the pedophile prescence on cyberspace.

I think you are making them out to be far more important than they really are. As much as they might wish they were, they are not part of the criminal justice system. They are just a bunch of losers whose idea of a good time is to get old men to talk dirty to them and then shame them for having done so.
