The most interesting news story of the week on our BL boards is that one of our principal would-be scourges, 'Edited,' the co-administrator of the Wikisposure project, has been unmasked - and shown to be hooded!

Edited doesn't have much of a public profile, but to readers within the private forums of Perverted Justice, she is a very active presence, organizing BL board surveillance and campaigns to expose any and all BL site posters as 'pedophile activists.' She is noted for a particularly caustic and abrasive tone, and has made many disparaging remarks in-camera about people on this board.

A very anonymous individual calling himself Edited has put together a thinly woven yet unassailable case that "Edited" is in fact a much-published online sadomasochist named Edited, recently renamed Edited, after she married her long-time, contracted S/M slave (see link). I have now read everything available online that this person has posted. I have always been an outspoken supporter of the contention that sadomasochism can be practiced in an ethical and even in a Christian way when partners role-play within limits. Edited, however, has clearly found an outlet to let some of her sadistic urges escape into unbounded real-world torment, and, as her myspace page indicates (it is cited in the linked blog), she delights in things like "get(ting) to giggle when those fucking pedoassholes get outed." (Her language is beyond sailor.)

A self-admitted alcoholic, bisexual, gender-confused person, Edited is an outstanding example of the sort of exotic personality it takes to make a witchburner vigilante organization work in the modern age. It is already amazing that the organization she works for has any credibility, and one hopes her exposure will help to make the public realize that most players on the vigilante side are a lot freakier than those on the BL side. Never before has a defender of public morality freely published that she has enforced days of silence on her partner, sometimes gagging him by making him hold his own dirty sock in his mouth, and then restricting him from urinating until he has accidents.

I have made some comments about what Christians can do about this type of personality at Edited. Basically, we need to make sure our churches explicitly show acceptance to transgendered people and sexual minorities, to prevent people from going on a life-long rampage of self-hatred-fuelled self-damage and vengeance against arbitrarily chosen proxies. Which in this case, means us.
