You know, I think I just needed to spout off a little, but I do know what you are talking about. I am a big fan of foreign and independent films. They do tend to be so much better than most of the main stream garbage out there and if you rent from something like Netflix, it is easy to find a good majority of the more popular ones. Still, the local theaters usually won't play foreign or independent films, which is too bad. I started a Classic movie night at our local library. One day each month they show classic, award-winning films. Last month they showed "From Here to Eternity", an excellent and historic movie.
