IMHO the basis for declaring bestiality an abomination is that it creates a 'one flesh' relationship between a human who is in the image of God and an animal that is not. But then I would argue the same as the basis for rejecting homosexuality; it's just 'not right' for a one flesh relationship to exist between two people of the same sex.
