I can relate to your tendency towards nervousness around children. I'm extremely shy around them and find it difficult to even hold a conversation. I often go out of my way to avoid children altogether.

In spite of this, many seem to take a liking to me for reasons I can't quite understand and have persisted with me. It it to their credit rather than mine that I've developed any sort of friendships with kids.
