I've been wandering around like a bear with a sore head for the past week or so and perhaps my initial response to Chris was too sharp as a result of that. I suspect we have achieved general agreement in theory; however IMO the problem is that as a board we need to be conscious of who are primarily here to serve - i.e. BLs who are Christians - and not be too concerned at what the rest of the world thinks of us. On that basis we need to ensure that the welcome mat is as clear as possible for all possible lurkers in that category - and therefore be VERY careful about what we say that might deter them. It's from that perspective that I wrote my post.
