Early on I had questioned whether the parents had put him up to it but he told me his mum didn't even know about the problem and even on one occasion when we were talking on the phone about the friendship ending he said he had to go to his room to talk to me about this because he didn't want his mum to know.

His mum has continued to be real nice to me on the phone when I have rang asking to talk to him, she has even told me to come around soon, she has expressed on several occasions how happy she is especially with me helping him with his homework and his dad who is separated had also asked me to stay over sometime.

It is sad that I now have a better relationship with his parents then I do with my YF.

Perhaps he is a sociopath, in fact the thought had crossed my mind only yesterday, up until now I thought maybe his moody and confused behavior was a result of just hormones. But he seems to insensitive and cold to be influenced just by that. When I ask him why he is so emotionless about ending a 5 month friendship he responds with how good he is at controlling his emotions.
