There is nothing wrong with what you are saying. It's only your definition of terms. Everything Jesus did - healing, preaching, and praying - were all very important. But healing is not praying, nor is preaching healing. They are all separate actions of equal importance. As Christians, prayer is an important part of our lives, as is healing, preaching, and serving. And yes, we can multitask. I often pray while ministering to someone in some way, but the ministry is not prayer - the prayer supports the ministry. My definition of prayer is not so narrow - you can silently thank God when you see a beautiful flower [or boy, :)] and that is just as much of a prayer as when you get on your knees for three hours. But giving water to someone who is thirsty is not a prayer, simply because it's not. You can ask God to bless that water, and then it is a prayer.
Take another example. Running is good for your health. So is jumping. Both are exercise, and you can do both at the same time. They even compliment each other. But even though that is true, running will never be jumping and vice-versa. K? |
